Yahoo! Homepage 1994 - 2014

Yahoo! (yahoo.com) first developed in 1994 by two college students, David Filo and Jerry Yang. Their project at Stanford University is "Jerry and Dave's Guide to the World Wide Web" in 1994.

In the autumn of 1994, Yahoo reached reach one million per day, which is almost 100 thousand unique visitors. Now Yahoo is one of the highest visited site on the internet, receiving over 345 million visitors each month.

Yahoo is an acronym of the phrase "Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle".

Yahoo has now evolved to the largest online portal, offering everything from shopping, video, and siaranpod (podcasts) to finance, news, real and estate.
