Which Foods Burn the Most Calories

You probably already know that in order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume. While it may seem difficult to burn calories, there are list foods to burn more calories.

Celery



Celery, a marshland plant variety in the family Apiaceae, has been cultivated as a vegetable since antiquity. Depending on location and cultivar, either its stalks, leaves, or hypocotyl are eaten and used in cooking. Celery has a thermic effect of around 8%, much less than the 100% or more required for a food to have "negative calories". A stalk of celery provides 6 calories to the body, but the body expends only half of a single calorie digesting it.


Grapefruits



The grapefruit is a subtropical citrus tree known for its sour to semi-sweet fruit. Grapefruits usually range in diameter from four to six inches and include both seed and seedless and pink and white varieties. The wonderful flavor of a grapefruit is like paradise as is expressed by its Latin name, Citrus paradisi.

Grapefruit doesn't have any magical fat-burning properties, but it can help you feel full with fewer calories. That's because its soluble fiber takes longer to digest. Having half a grapefruit or a glass of grapefruit juice before a meal fills you up, so you eat fewer calories during the meal.


Whole grains

This may help you eat less and create the necessary calorie deficit to lose weight. For each pound of weight loss per week, you'll need to eliminate about 500 calories per day.


Avocado



The monounsaturated fats found in avocados are burned readily for fuel during exercise and actually encourage fat burning. Avocados also contain a very interesting carb called mannoheptulose, a sugar that actually blunts insulin release and enhances calcium absorption, both of which are critical for encouraging fat loss.

According to research have shown that avocados can;

Reduce total cholesterol levels significantly.
Reduce blood triglycerides by up to 20%.
Lower LDL cholesterol by up to 22%.
Increase HDL (the “good”) cholesterol by up to 11%.
One of the studies showed that including avocado in a low-fat vegetarian diet led to improvements in the cholesterol profile


Spicy foods


Chili peppers that contain a compound called capsaicin will boost your metabolic rate, causing your body to burn more calories for a while after consumption. These little seeds are incredibly nutritious, with significant concentrations of protein, fiber and several essential minerals. Chia seeds are popular for weight loss. They reduce food cravings by preventing some of the food that you eat from getting absorbed into your system. This blockage of calorie absorption makes them a great diet helper.


Watermelon



The crunchy watermelon is also extremely low in calories and great at helping dieters lose weight.

One reason why watermelon can help you to lose weight is that it is a very rich source of B vitamins, which increase your energy levels and reduce your need to eat extra foods (which you may be more tempted to do when you are feeling sluggish).

Apples
